Shocking, but true. The minions of Blackrock not only had in their possession Weapons of Chromatic Destruction but willfully used them against the Cadian Suppression Force. As of 10:02 Stormwind Time, the Council of Nobles officially declared war on the mountainous region. In addition, High Inquisitor Cydel was granted emergency power to deal with the Blackrock Menace as she saw fit.

Within a few short hours after the initial attack, Security Minister Firemaw and Chief Broodlord Lashlayer made their last stand. Deputy Xanith of the Cadian forces tried to negotiate a peaceful resolution to the conflict but tragically Firemaw and his fanatics would hear none of it. Details are sketchy, but reports show there were no survivors. There have also been allegations of Elementium evidence removed from the bodies of the dead goblins. The Inquisition of Cadia has denied this claim.

Shortly after the death of Firemaw and the Broodlord and representative was sent to make one last attempt at negotiation with the Lord of Blackrock.
